Description
A curved forcing pen from Bateman, for moving cattle onto a trailer or lorry and up to a crush for testing, dosing or treatment. It sets up at the end of an existing pen and adds on to Bateman’s portable holding pens and race sections.
It can be fixed in place or moved: the hurdles pack into the transport crate that comes with it. It can be set up left- or right-handed. The sides are clad in Stokbord, and at 2 m high Bateman says it suits all breeds because the height discourages jumping. Ratchet fins stop the forcing gate swinging back.
Set up, it’s 4.7 m long, 5.05 m wide and 2 m high, with a 2.35 m forcing gate. It weighs 820 kg with the hurdles and crate, so it’s delivered on a pallet and you’ll need a loader to unload it. The steel is galvanised to ISO 1461.
