A solar fencer for out-farms and paddocks with no mains power nearby. It comes with its solar panel and battery, and the panel keeps the battery charged.
The dial on the front sets the power in ten steps. Keep it high while stock are learning the fence, then turn it down to save the battery. Hold the button for four seconds for ECO 1/5 mode: one full pulse, then four weaker ones. It changes to that mode itself when the battery gets low. The light flashes green, orange or red with each pulse, and a short press shows how much battery is left.
Lacme rates it for about 200 acres (20 km of fence) in light growth, 50 acres (5 km) in medium growth and 10 acres (2 km) where growth is heavy, for quiet, trained stock.
Included: the fencer, solar panel, battery, a high-voltage lead and two earth connectors. You'll also need earth stakes. If mains power reaches the field later, it also runs on Lacme's own mains adapter.
