Description

A mains fencer for short fences and sensitive or docile animals, such as horses and foals in favourable conditions. It puts out 1.1 J at a peak of 13,000 V and runs at 35 pulses a minute.

Two terminals: one for the earth stake, one for the fence. The pilot light flashes with each pulse, but it doesn't tell you the fence has enough voltage, so check along the fence with a tester. Lacme advises 20,000 V insulated cable for the fence wiring.

Put the earth stake at least 10 m from the building's mains earth.
